Seriously, How Did She Do It??

I was in someone’s Facebook group today and saw a post that I’d seen several times before and yet it always piques my curiosity.

It goes something like this…

“I just signed 3 high-ticket clients in 3 days, do you want to know how?”

Or

“I just made $400,000 this year working 3 days per week! Want in on my secrets?” My first thought is often…

“I’ll have what she’s having!!”

It sounds intriguing, right?

I mean, who wouldn’t want to know how someone else does those things!

And on the surface, the post seems like a great strategy for getting someone to click your link.

But there’s one problem.

Actually, two problems…

The first problem is for the person who posted the intriguing post…

She inadvertently attracted freebie-seekers, who don’t care who she is or what she offers. They just want the quick win.

And of course, we all know there is no such thing as a “quick win” in a long game.

The second problem is for the entrepreneur who downloaded the free resource spilling the secrets…

9 times out of 10, the freebie takes you off track from your current focus and doesn’t give you what you really need.

And even for the really amazing freebies (and there are some out there), you can follow every step detailed in the document, but you still don’t get the same results. What gives??

That freebie didn’t turn into $400,000 or 3 high-ticket clients in 3 days?

Hmmm…

Listen, freebies can be awesome resources and are obviously a great way to build your list.

But freebies will not get you to your goals!

Why not?

Because you don’t need a cookie cutter approach. You cannot follow someone else’s roadmap and get the same result.

Trust me, I’ve tried.

You need your own roadmap.

A roadmap that you can use with your own unique brand, voice, and strategies. You need to know the major highways that will get you there fast.

But you want to drive your own car, play your own music and bring your own snacks.

I’ve made ALL the investments in my business.

And it was only when I took the roadmaps given and made them my own, that I saw momentum.
