An article published at the beginning of 2020 by the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics found that people who second-guess themselves make considerably worse decisions than those who stick with instinct.
So why do women second guess themselves when they want to start a business?
Women do not believe they possess adequate entrepreneurial skills as much as men do.
What?? I know, it’s ridiculous!
But you know what? It’s actually not about the skills per se, because every single new entrepreneur regardless of gender is a novice in this new world.
Statistics show there is no real difference in the skill sets of male and female business owners.
So what’s the difference?
Perception and confidence!
Only 39% of women think they are capable of running their businesses, compared to 55% of men.
It’s time we take action to build our confidence. We must believe we have what it takes.

62% of female business owners are between 40 and 59 years old.
